Free Cell Phone, Inkjet and Laser Cartridge Recycling

Lend a Hand and Recycle!

Recycle & Donate the proceeds to your

Light The Night Chapter

All of the recycling programs are  completely free to the user, so whether you have a large or small business, school, club, professional organization, church or you're an individual that uses printer cartridges or has old cell phones to recycle, you can be a part of the recycling program that benefits The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night Walk®

In-Kind donations from your recycling helps support patients and their families and to fund research to find a cure for blood cancers.

These items are things you are probably now storing in a drawer or throwing away.  By recycling you generate funds for this

critical fight against blood cancers AND you are disposing

of your electronic waste in an environmentally responsible way.

Keep your electronic trash out of the landfill

and help fight blood cancers at the same time!

Changes in the Recycling Industry

Envirosmart inkjet program discontinuance information

Envirosmart discontinued their inkjet recycling program, abruptly with no notice, effective June 8th, 2007.  We have spoken to many of the LTN collectors that we could reach via phone or email, but if we

have not been able to reach you or if you haven't collected for a while please know that:

  • all Envirosmart materials should be destroyed

  • Envirosmart has stopped shipping supplies and has dropped the price on all returns to zero

  • NOTHING should be shipped to Franklin TN

This does not affect the Laser or Cell Phone programs.

With the exit of EnviroSmart in public recycling, there have been a number of changes by other vendors as well.

There is no longer a commercial ink jet bag collection program that we know of.  The Postal Service increase in May 2007 made collecting this way cost prohibitive.

All inkjet recycling is being done with box collections, across the industry.  We have three options to try and meet everyone's needs and preferences.

Many companies have stopped laser recycling and our program is getting better as there are more models accepted, and the prices have gone up in the last year.

Much of the change in the industry is "growing pains" as the number of people recycling increases with the greater awareness on the environment.  This is good and we will continue to look for options in the industry that will make our programs competitive.

We want to keep people recycling and raising funds!

Environmentally Sound Programs

Our recycling programs not only benefit the environment by getting more printer cartridges and cell phones recycled, but we also recycle all of the collections materials!  All of the plastic bags and cardboard boxes are recycled after use.

The bags are shredded and made into composite wood material and the boxes are recycled as paper and cardboard.

Why not lend a hand to reducing electronic waste and

generate funds for patients and research for
